1. Who we are
VenuD ("we", "us") operates the VenuD consumer app, Partners portal, and venud.app. Contact: hello@venud.com. We are based in Australia and handle personal information under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).
2. What we collect
- Account details: email, display name, optional verified phone, city or suburb.
- Activity: check-ins, orders, redemptions, bookings, and how you use the app (including device type and, when you arrive via an ad, click identifiers such as fbclid or gclid).
- Payment details are processed by Stripe; we do not store full card numbers.
3. How we use it
We use this information to run the app, process orders, personalise venue recommendations, measure marketing, prevent fraud, and comply with law. Venue offer targeting inside VenuD is a separate, default-on preference you can turn off in Settings.
4. Advertising platforms
To measure whether ads actually bring people to venues (and to help those ads improve), venud.app loads the Meta Pixel for PageView measurement, and we may send hashed identifiers and conversion events — for example a check-in or a paid order — to advertising platforms such as Meta, Google, and TikTok. We hash email, phone, and name with SHA-256 before they leave our servers. We do not sell your personal information.
This is a cross-border disclosure (APP 8). You can opt out at any time in the app under Settings → Privacy → "Share visits with ad platforms". Opting out stops new events from being sent; it does not delete history already received by a platform.
5. Venues and Partners
Claimed venues can see aggregated and, where you have opted in to venue targeting, individual activity that happens at their venue (check-ins, orders, redemptions). They cannot download your email to a marketing list unless you have a direct relationship with them (for example you ordered and paid).
6. Access, correction, deletion
Email hello@venud.com to access, correct, or request deletion of your personal information. You can also delete your account in the app. We keep records we are legally required to retain (for example paid orders) for the period the law requires.
7. Changes
We will update this page when our practices change. Material changes to ad-platform sharing will be flagged in the app.
